Responsibilities

• Create posts for social media platforms

• Write captions, headlines, and calls to action

• Design simple graphics using approved brand colors and styles

• Build and maintain a social media content calendar

• Schedule approved content for publication

• Share programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and senior resources

• Turn stories and updates into meaningful digital content

• Monitor comments, messages, and audience activity

• Direct requests for help to the appropriate team member

• Track engagement and identify content performing well

• Protect the privacy and dignity of seniors and families

• Follow approval procedures before sharing names, photos, or details

• Stay informed about platform changes and digital trends

  
  

Qualifications

• Experience with social media, marketing or communications

• A portfolio showing social media content created for businesses, nonprofits, or professional organizations

• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

• Understanding of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, or others

• Ability to create clean graphics in Canva or another design program

• Good judgment when handling sensitive topics

• Strong organization and attention to detail

• Ability to follow brand and content guidelines

• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

• Willingness to accept feedback and revise content

• Commitment to protecting seniors and supporting our mission
